(1) The sheriff shall make a return on the writ of execution to the court administrator within 60 days after the sheriff receives the writ. The person that requested issuance of the writ may authorize the sheriff to continue execution under the writ and delay making a return on the writ to a date not later than 150 days after the sheriff receives the writ as long as the execution sale occurs no later than 150 days after the sheriff receives the writ. The final date for return on the writ may be extended as provided in ORS § 18.932 and 18.938. For good cause shown, the court that issued the writ may extend the time for a return on the writ beyond the time provided by this subsection.
