No law enforcement agency, as defined in ORS § 181A.010, may collect or maintain information about the political, religious or social views, associations or activities of any individual, group, association, organization, corporation, business or partnership unless such information directly relates to an investigation of criminal activities, and there are reasonable grounds to suspect the subject of the information is or may be involved in criminal conduct. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 181A.250
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
181A.250 was made a part of 181A.160 to 181A.250 by legislative action but was not added to 181A.010 to 181A.350. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
