Oregon Statutes 184.640 – Transportation Administration Account; budget and payment for administrative expenses of department
(1) There is established, separate and distinct from the General Fund, the Transportation Administration Account.
(2) Notwithstanding any other law, such amounts as may be necessary to pay the administrative expenses of the Department of Transportation shall be continuously credited to the Transportation Administration Account from the biennial appropriations to, or transferred to such administration account from the accounts or funds of, units within the department that have separate appropriations, accounts or funds. Such amounts as may be requested quarterly by the Director of Transportation, with the approval of the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, shall be so credited or transferred to the Transportation Administration Account. The department is subject to the allotment system provided for in ORS § 291.234 to 291.260.
(3) The amounts credited and transferred to the Transportation Administration Account shall not be greater than the total of any budget approved for the department by the Legislative Assembly and shall be determined by prorating the costs of the office of the director among the respective units within the department. All moneys appropriated, credited or transferred to the Transportation Administration Account are appropriated continuously to pay the administrative expenses of the department.
