The State Board of Education shall adopt by rule standards for sign language interpreters for persons in the public schools who are deaf or hard of hearing. In developing the standards, the state board shall consult with the advisory committee created under ORS § 410.740 and the Director of Human Services. [1991 c.365 § 4; 2005 c.663 § 9; 2007 c.70 § 51]
