As used in ORS § 198.425 and 198.430, unless the context requires otherwise, ‘district officer’ means a member of the governing body of a district who serves as such by virtue of election to such position. [1969 c.325 § 1; 1971 c.23 § 6; 1981 c.173 § 2; 1983 c.83 § 4]
