Any local government may, by ordinance duly passed by its governing body, authorize the acceptance by such local government of the general obligation bonds or interest coupons attached, or both, of the local government, in payment of all or any part of special assessment liens, interest or penalties of or payable to the local government. - local government: means all cities, counties and local service districts located in this state, and all administrative subdivisions of those cities, counties and local service districts. See Oregon Statutes 174.116
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
