When the Public Employees Retirement Board is required to use a consumer price index to calculate cost-of-living adjustments to benefits payable under ORS Chapter 238 or 238A, the board shall use the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, West Region (All Items), as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States Department of Labor.
