The Department of State Lands may enter into contracts with any person owning lands adapted to the purposes of ORS § 273.316 to 273.345 and 273.511, for the subdivision, settlement and sale of all or any portion thereof, under the direction and supervision of the department and such conditions as may be agreed to. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 273.145
- Department: means the Department of State Lands. See Oregon Statutes 273.006
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
