(1) It is declared to be the public policy of this state to promote economy, efficiency and convenience to the public by means of centralizing the location of office quarters of all state agencies having offices in the same city or community.

- City: includes any incorporated village or town. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
(2) Any state agency renting or leasing office quarters in any city or community shall, wherever feasible, rent or lease quarters in the same building in which are situated the office quarters of one or more other state agencies or in a building in close proximity thereto.
