Oregon Statutes 285A.230 – University Innovation Research Fund; grants
The University Innovation Research Fund is established in the State Treasury, separate and distinct from the General Fund. Interest earned by the University Innovation Research Fund must be credited to the fund. The fund consists of all moneys appropriated, allocated, deposited or transferred to the fund by the Legislative Assembly or otherwise and any donations or grants received for the purpose of the fund. Moneys in the fund are continuously appropriated to the Oregon Business Development Department to make grants to public universities listed in ORS § 352.002 or grants to the Oregon Health and Science University for the purpose of matching competitive federal research grant awards. - State Treasury: includes those financial assets the lawful custody of which are vested in the State Treasurer and the office of the State Treasurer relating to the custody of those financial assets. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
