(1) The Oregon Department of Administrative Services may require any person to answer orally or in writing, under oath or affirmation, as to any facts relating to a claim subject to disapproval by the department under ORS § 293.300.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 293.311
- Answer: The formal written statement by a defendant responding to a civil complaint and setting forth the grounds for defense.
- Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
(2) The state agency that incurred the obligation or made the expenditure on which the claim is based may require any person to answer orally or in writing, under oath or affirmation, as to any facts relating to a claim not subject to disapproval by the department under ORS § 293.300.
