Oregon Statutes 309.025 – Notice of hearings on appeals of property value; proof of notice; persons interested may appear
(1) Before the date the property value appeals board convenes, the clerk of the board shall give public notice that the board will meet at a specified time and place to hear the appeals specified in ORS § 309.026.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 309.025
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- public notice: means any legal publication which requires an affidavit of publication as required in ORS § 193. See Oregon Statutes 174.104
(2)(a) The notice provided under this section shall be given by posting notices in six conspicuous places in the county.
(b) Proof of notice shall be made by affidavit of the clerk of the board, setting out the time, manner and place of posting the notices. The affidavit must be filed in the office of the county clerk on or before the day on which the board convenes.

The amendments to 309.025 by section 22, chapter 29, Oregon Laws 2023, become operative July 1, 2024. See section 43, chapter 29, Oregon Laws 2023. The text that is operative until July 1, 2024, is set forth for the user’s convenience.
