(1) Any person other than a student at the Oregon School for the Deaf upon successful completion of an educational program at elementary or secondary level at a state institution shall receive a diploma evidencing such completion issued by the common or union high school district in which the person last resided prior to commitment to the state institution.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 339.877

  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
  • Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.

(2) All educational records for the person shall be sent to the common or union high school district issuing the diploma. The school district may make a transcript of such records available upon request in the same manner and in the same form as it makes any other transcript available and shall not therein indicate that any of the educational program was completed in any state institution.
