The Oregon Transportation Commission shall develop a statewide winter maintenance strategy and policy that includes the use of rock salt or similar solid salt products. In developing the strategy, the commission shall focus on highways under the Department of Transportation’s jurisdiction as the road authority pursuant to ORS § 810.010 and take into consideration environmental best practices. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 366.207
- Commission: means the Oregon Transportation Commission. See Oregon Statutes 366.005
- Department: means the Department of Transportation. See Oregon Statutes 366.005
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
