(1) The Department of Transportation may install and maintain memorial markers in roadside rest areas and turnouts on U.S. Highway 20 recognizing this state’s current and future recipients of the Medal of Honor.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 366.937
- Department: means the Department of Transportation. See Oregon Statutes 366.005
- Highway: means every public way, road, street, thoroughfare and place, including bridges, viaducts and other structures within the boundaries of this state, open, used or intended for use of the general public for vehicles or vehicular traffic as a matter of right. See Oregon Statutes 366.005
(2)(a) The department may accept moneys from and may enter into agreements with veterans groups to create, install and maintain the signs.
(b) The department may not use public funds for the installation and maintenance of the signs. [2017 c.380 § 1]
