(1) If a youth is within the jurisdiction of the court for having committed an act that, if committed by an adult, would constitute a Class E violation, the court shall proceed in accordance with ORS § 153.062.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(2) Nothing in subsection (1) of this section prevents a youth from entering into a formal accountability agreement under ORS § 419C.230 for a Class E violation. [2021 c.591 § 27]
