(1) In addition to any other penalty provided by law, the Attorney General may impose a civil penalty not to exceed $10,000 for each violation of ORS § 431A.860, 431A.865 or 431A.870. Each improper release of information from the prescription monitoring program in violation of ORS § 431A.865 is a separate violation.

  • State Treasury: includes those financial assets the lawful custody of which are vested in the State Treasurer and the office of the State Treasurer relating to the custody of those financial assets. See Oregon Statutes 174.100

(2) Civil penalties under this section shall be imposed as provided in ORS § 183.745.

(3) The Department of Justice may adopt rules as required to carry out the provisions of this section.
