After the declaration of a ground water management area, the Department of Environmental Quality, in consultation with other appropriate state agencies, shall appoint a ground water management committee for the affected area if a ground water management committee has not already been appointed under ORS § 468B.177. If the affected area had previously been designated an area of ground water concern, the same ground water management committee appointed under ORS § 468B.177 shall continue to address the ground water issues raised as a result of the declaration of a ground water management area.
