(1) If a domestic corporation is convicted of a second offense under ORS § 59.730 to 59.810, the circuit court has jurisdiction over an action by the Attorney General, in the name of the people, to dissolve the corporation.
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 59.820
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(2) If a foreign corporation is convicted of a second offense under ORS § 59.730 to 59.810, the circuit court has jurisdiction in an action brought as provided in subsection (1) of this section to restrain the corporation from doing business in this state.
