(1) As used in this section:

(a) ‘Beverage’ means a liquid for drinking, including water.

(b) ‘Food’ means a raw, cooked or processed edible substance, ice, beverage or ingredient used or intended for use or for sale in whole or in part for human consumption, or chewing gum.

(c) ‘Restaurant’ has the meaning given that term in ORS § 624.010.

(2) The Oregon Health Authority shall adopt rules allowing for a restaurant to allow a consumer to fill a consumer-owned container with food. [2023 c.74 § 1]

 

616.902 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS Chapter 616 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.

 

Section 2, chapter 74, Oregon Laws 2023, provides:

The Oregon Health Authority shall adopt rules under section 1 of this 2023 Act [616.902] that take effect no later than June 30, 2024. [2023 c.74 § 2]
