(1) The State Treasurer shall be the custodian of the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund and the Unemployment Compensation Benefit Fund.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 657.830

  • employment: includes service that is:

    (a) Subject to the tax imposed by the Federal Unemployment Tax Act; or

    (b) Required to be covered under this chapter as a condition for employers to receive a full tax credit against the tax imposed by the Federal Unemployment Tax Act. See Oregon Statutes 657.030

  • United States: includes territories, outlying possessions and the District of Columbia. See Oregon Statutes 174.100

(2) After clearance thereof, the State Treasurer immediately shall deposit all moneys specified in ORS § 657.805 which are received from all sources as an accretion to the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund, with the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States as custodian of the trust fund created by the federal Social Security Act.

(3) All moneys specified in ORS § 657.822 shall be deposited in the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund only for purposes of clearance. After clearance thereof, the State Treasurer immediately shall deposit all such moneys, less refunds made pursuant to the provisions of ORS § 657.510, in the Employment Department Special Administrative Fund.

(4) Refunds payable pursuant to ORS § 657.510 may be paid upon warrants issued by the State Treasurer under direction of the administrator from the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund or the Employment Department Special Administrative Fund, as appropriate.
