(1) If title IX of the federal Social Security Act becomes inoperative by Act of Congress or by decision of the United States Supreme Court, payments of contributions and payment of benefits provided in this chapter shall cease.

  • Benefits: means the money allowances payable to unemployed persons under this chapter. See Oregon Statutes 657.010
  • contributions: means the taxes that are the money payments required by this chapter, or voluntary payments permitted, to be made to the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund. See Oregon Statutes 657.010
  • United States: includes territories, outlying possessions and the District of Columbia. See Oregon Statutes 174.100

(2) If the provisions of the Act of October 20, 1976, P.L. 94-566 (26 U.S.C. § 3306) requiring benefit coverage for service performed in agricultural labor as provided in ORS § 657.045 (1)(a) and (b) and (7) and 657.105 (2) become inoperative by Act of Congress or by decision of the United States Supreme Court, payments of contributions and payment of benefits pursuant to the statutes cited in this subsection shall cease.
