Upon application, accompanied by payment of the fee adopted by the Oregon State Veterinary Medical Examining Board by rule, the board shall issue a veterinary technician license to any applicant who furnishes satisfactory evidence that the applicant has met the requirements for licensure as a veterinary technician established by the board by rule. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 686.375

  • Board: means the Oregon State Veterinary Medical Examining Board. See Oregon Statutes 686.010
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Veterinary technician: means an individual who has received a certificate in veterinary technology, or a comparable certificate, from a recognized college or university approved by the Oregon State Veterinary Medical Examining Board, or an individual employed as a veterinary technician who has had at least four calendar years of on-the-job training in the technical procedures certified by a licensed veterinarian who presented the instruction. 686.375 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS Chapter 686 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
