A contract that is for the performance of work on a residential structure and that is subject to this chapter may not contain a provision that limits the right of a person to file a complaint described in ORS § 701.140 with the Construction Contractors Board. A contract described in this section may contain a provision requiring mediation or arbitration of a dispute arising from the contract. [Formerly 701.175]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 701.315
- Board: means the Construction Contractors Board. See Oregon Statutes 701.005
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
