The Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services may, by writing, waive the notices provided for in ORS § 706.690 and 706.700, or shorten the period after the notice when the resignation or retirement becomes effective. [Amended by 1973 c.797 § 42; 1975 c.544 § 5; 1995 c.316 § 2]
