If the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services has reason to believe that a defalcation has occurred at an office of a licensee, the director may give the information concerning the violation to the appropriate federal, state or local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction of the violation. This section does not apply, however, if the licensee has reported the information to the appropriate law enforcement officer under ORS § 725.385. [1979 c.88 § 40; 1985 c.762 § 133]

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Licensee: means a person licensed under this chapter. See Oregon Statutes 725.010
