Oregon Statutes 750.065 – Payment or reimbursement for services within scope of practice of optometrists
Notwithstanding any provision of contract or agreement entered into by a corporation, association, society, firm, partnership or individual doing business as a hospital association or as a health care service contractor, whenever the contract or agreement provides for payment or reimbursement for a service that is within the lawful scope of practice of a licensed optometrist, the hospital association or health care service contractor shall provide payment or reimbursement for the service, whether the service is performed by a physician or a licensed optometrist. Unless the contract or agreement provides otherwise, there shall be no reimbursement for ophthalmic materials, lenses, spectacles, eyeglasses or appurtenances thereto. [1971 c.97 § 2; 2005 c.442 § 3]

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
