(1) A telecommunications utility may not use revenues earned from, or allocate expenses to, that portion of the utility’s business that is regulated under this chapter in order to subsidize activities that are not regulated by this chapter.

  • Telecommunications: means the transmission of information chosen by a person, between or among points specified by the person, without change in the form or content of the information sent or received. See Oregon Statutes 759.005

(2) The Public Utility Commission may not require revenues or expenses from an activity that is not regulated under this chapter to be attributed to the regulated activities of a telecommunications utility.

(3) The commission may approve a telecommunications utility rate proposal for basic local service rates that utilizes revenues from other regulated services to partially cover the costs of providing basic local service. [2005 c.232 § 4]
