Nothing in this chapter is intended to grant the Port of Portland authority to interfere with or detract from the general rights and powers of a city or a school or road district that is located in whole or in part within the boundaries of the port. However, the port has full power to carry out and fulfill the purpose of its creation, and to exercise its power of assessing, levying and collecting taxes. [Amended by 1971 c.728 § 124]
