Except as provided in ORS § 30.260 to 30.300, the Secretary of State and the secretary’s officers and employees shall not be liable to debtors, secured parties or any other person in administering this chapter or ORS § 80.100 to 80.130. [Formerly 79.8010]

- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Oregon Statutes 79.0102
