The State Marine Board shall at least once every three years conduct a survey of owners and others to determine, by county, the kinds of boating activity on the various waters of the state during different periods of the year. Boating activity in a county shall be determined by taking into consideration the number and kinds of boats engaging in different boating activities in the county and the number of days during the last fiscal year that such activities were carried on in the county. The board may also consider other factors relating to the enforcement of boating safety and traffic regulations provided by this chapter and the regulations adopted pursuant thereto. - Board: means the State Marine Board. See Oregon Statutes 830.005
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
