Any person who knowingly buys, receives, disposes of, sells, offers for sale or possesses any boat or component from which the hull identification number assigned to the boat or component identification number has been removed, defaced, covered, altered or destroyed for the purpose of concealing or misrepresenting the identity of the boat or component commits a Class A misdemeanor. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 830.992

  • Boat: means every description of watercraft, including a seaplane on the water and not in flight, used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on the water, but does not include boathouses, floating homes, air mattresses, beach and water toys or single inner tubes.   • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
