(1) When a person files a bond with the recording officer of the county under ORS § 87.076 and serves notice of the filing upon the lien claimant, the person shall file with the same recording officer an affidavit stating that such notice was served.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 87.081

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100

(2) When a person deposits money with the treasurer of a county under ORS § 87.076 and serves notice of the deposit upon the lien claimant, the person shall file with the recording officer of the same county an affidavit stating that the deposit was made and notice was served.
