(1) When the Oregon State Bar or an attorney determines that one of the circumstances listed in ORS § 9.710 exists, the bar or the attorney may petition the court ex parte to take immediate jurisdiction over the affected member’s law practice as provided in ORS § 9.705 to 9.757.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
