(1) Unless the transaction is exempt under ORS § 94.962, it is unlawful for any person to act as a salesperson or membership camping contract broker in this state without first registering as a salesperson or membership camping contract broker as provided in ORS § 94.980. Individuals licensed as real estate brokers or principal real estate brokers under ORS Chapter 696 are exempt from registration under this section.
