(1) The State Treasurer may bring a suit or action in a court of appropriate jurisdiction to enforce delivery of property not delivered by a holder as required under ORS § 98.352.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(2) The State Treasurer may require a holder who fails to pay or deliver property within the time prescribed by ORS § 98.302 to 98.436 and 98.992 to pay interest from the date the State Treasurer determines interest should have been paid. Interest shall be paid at the rate set by the Director of the Department of Revenue pursuant to ORS § 305.220 (1) and (3).
