(a) The department shall have the authority to adopt, amend, or repeal rules and regulations that are reasonably necessary for the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. The department may issue regulations setting forth those transactions which shall require the payment of fees by a provider and the fees which shall be charged.
Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 23-59-14
- Department: means the Rhode Island state department of health. See Rhode Island General Laws 23-59-1
- Provider: means any person, corporation, partnership, or other entity that provides or offers to provide continuing care to any individual in an existing or proposed facility in this state. See Rhode Island General Laws 23-59-1
(b) Any provider may be given a reasonable time, not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of publication of any applicable rules and regulations or amendments thereto adopted pursuant to this chapter, within which to comply with the rules and standards.
