The appeal board is hereby authorized to require the attendance of witnesses by subpoena and to acquire the production of books, papers, and documents at any hearing pursuant to § 36-3-10.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 36-3-10.1
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
