Rhode Island General Laws 37-26-2. Investigation and determination of standard compensation – Posting of rates
The director of labor and training shall investigate and determine the standard compensation to be paid as set forth in § 37-26-3 and post the rates on the director of labor and training’s website. In making a determination, the director may adopt and use such appropriate and applicable prevailing wage determinations as have been made by the Secretary of Labor of the United States of America in accordance with the Service Contract Act (41 U.S.C. § 351 et seq.), as well as relevant collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and previous state purchasing entity contracts.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 37-26-2
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Standard compensation: means each of the following:
(i) Standard wage;
(ii) Standard benefits; and
(iii) Standard paid leave. See Rhode Island General Laws 37-26-1
- State purchasing entity: means state and public agencies. See Rhode Island General Laws 37-26-1
- United States: include the several states and the territories of the United States. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-8
