Rhode Island General Laws 42-64.34-1. Department established

     

Effective January 1, 2023, there is hereby established within the executive branch of the state government a department of housing. The head of the department shall be the secretary of housing, who shall be appointed by the governor.

§ 42-64.34-1. Department established. [Effective January 1, 2024.]

Effective January 1, 2023, there is hereby established within the executive branch of the state government a department of housing. The head of the department shall be the secretary of housing, who shall be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. The position of secretary is hereby created in the unclassified service. The secretary shall hold office at the pleasure of the governor. Before entering upon the discharge of duties, the secretary shall take an oath to faithfully execute the duties of the office.

Rhode Island General Laws 42-64-34.1. Cooperation required

     

The small business advocate may request from any government agency, and the agency is authorized and directed to provide, any cooperation and assistance, services, and data, within the jurisdiction of the agency, as will enable the small business advocate to properly perform or exercise any of his or her functions, duties and powers under this chapter.
