If any provision of this chapter or the application of any provision to any person or circumstance is for any reason held invalid, the remainder of the chapter and the application of that provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected by that invalidity.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 5-53.1-18
- Person: means and shall include any individual, organization, group, association, partnership, corporation, trust, limited-liability company, and combination of the foregoing, however formed, as well as any and all other entities, however formed. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-53.1-1
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
