Only a person licensed or authorized to practice under this chapter shall practice dietetics or use the title “dietitian/nutritionist,” or use the letters L.D.N. or any facsimile.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 5-64-4
- Dietetics: means the professional discipline of applying principles derived from the sciences of nutrition, biochemistry, physiology, management, and behavioral and social sciences in the provision of dietetic services. See Rhode Island General Laws 5-64-3
- person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6
