(a) This Part may not be used to effect a transaction that is prohibited by law of this state other than this chapter.
Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 7-12.1-1107
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Rhode Island General Laws 7-12.1-102
(b) If law of this state other than this chapter applies to a transaction that is otherwise within the scope of this Part, the transaction is still subject to such other law.
