A receiver shall in all cases be a citizen of the United States or a business corporation authorized to act as receiver, which corporations may be a domestic corporation or a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in this state, and shall in all cases give any bond that the court directs with any sureties that the court requires.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 7-6-62
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Domestic corporation: means a nonprofit corporation subject to the provisions of this chapter, except a foreign corporation. See Rhode Island General Laws 7-6-2
- Foreign corporation: means a nonprofit corporation organized under laws other than the laws of this state. See Rhode Island General Laws 7-6-2
- United States: include the several states and the territories of the United States. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-8
