Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws > Chapter 6-38 - Insulation Contracts

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Marketplace: means the third party's proprietary online communication platform where customers can view and search the menus of merchants and place an order for merchant products via the third party's website or mobile application for delivery or by the third-party delivery service, or an independent contractor of the third-party delivery service, to the customer. See Rhode Island General Laws 6-58-1
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
