- Agricultural liming materials: means a product whose calcium and magnesium compounds are capable of neutralizing soil acidity. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Bailee: means a person that by a warehouse receipt, bill of lading, or other document of title acknowledges possession of goods and contracts to deliver them. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Brand: means the term, designation, trademark, product name or other specific designation under which individual agricultural liming material is offered for sale. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Bulk: means in nonpackaged form. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Burnt lime: means a material made from limestone which consists essentially of calcium oxide or a combination of calcium oxide with magnesium oxide. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Carrier: means a person that issues a bill of lading. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Delivery order: means a record that contains an order to deliver goods directed to a warehouse, carrier, or other person that in the ordinary course of business issues warehouse receipts or bills of lading. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Fineness: means the percentage by weight of the material which will pass U. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Goods: means all things that are treated as movable for the purposes of a contract for storage or transportation. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Issuer: means a bailee that issues a document of title or, in the case of an unaccepted delivery order, the person that orders the possessor of goods to deliver. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Label: means any written or printed matter on or attached to the package or on the delivery ticket which accompanies bulk shipments. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Limestone: means a material consisting essentially of calcium carbonate or a combination of calcium carbonate with magnesium carbonate capable of neutralizing soil acidity. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Percentage: means by weight. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
- person: may be construed to extend to and include co-partnerships and bodies corporate and politic. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-6
- Record: means information that is inscribed on a tangible medium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is retrievable in perceivable form. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
- town: may be construed to include city; the words "town council" include city council; the words "town clerk" include city clerk; the words "ward clerk" include clerk of election district; the words "town treasurer" include city treasurer; and the words "town sergeant" include city sergeant. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-9
- United States: include the several states and the territories of the United States. See Rhode Island General Laws 43-3-8
- Warehouse: means a person engaged in the business of storing goods for hire. See Rhode Island General Laws 6A-7-102
- Weight: means the weight of undried material as offered for sale. See Rhode Island General Laws 2-21-3
