- Clerk of court: An officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge in overseeing the court's administration, especially to assist in managing the flow of cases through the court and to maintain court records.
Any exempted amounts collected by the sheriff or other officer pursuant to § 15-41-30 must be deposited with the clerk of court in the county where the amounts are collected. Any person requesting disbursement of these funds shall petition the court of common pleas.
