(1) By any resident of this State for any cause of action; or

Terms Used In South Carolina Code 15-5-150

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.

(2) By a plaintiff not a resident of this State when the cause of action shall have arisen or the subject of the action shall be situated within this State.
