Terms Used In South Carolina Code 16-3-1650
- Victim: means a person who suffers direct or threatened physical, emotional, or financial harm as the result of an act by someone else, which is a crime. See South Carolina Code 16-3-1610
All elements of the criminal and juvenile justice systems and victim assistance programs shall cooperate with the ombudsman in carrying out the duties described in §§ 16-3-1620 and 16-3-1630.
