Terms Used In South Carolina Code 21-21-35
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
The disposition of the custody of the child as provided in § 21-21-25 is effective against any person claiming the custody of the child as guardian.
